We invite everyone working in the field of Thermal Energy Storage to submit an abstract and contribute to the upcoming TES Symposium 2027. We invite contributions on all topics related to Thermal Energy Storage for industrial process heat.

Key themes include, but are not limited to:

  • Case studies and techno-economic analyses of TES in industry.
  • Electrification of industrial heat via TES technologies.
  • System integration of TES to manage variable electricity prices and intermittent renewables.
  • High-temperature heat pumps and electric heaters in industrial applications.
  • Materials science and the development of novel materials for high-temperature TES.
  • Modelling, optimisation, and control of TES systems for industrial processes.
  • The translation of laboratory concepts to deployable, full-scale industrial solutions.

The abstracts should be submitted by e-mail to tes-symposium@dti.dk and marked as:
TES Abstract 2027 [insert title].

Deadline for submission of abstracts: 1 December 2026.

You can choose between two types of abstract presentations: POSTER or ORAL. Please indicate what you prefer when submitting your abstract. Should your abstract not qualify as an ORAL presentation, you will be offered a POSTER presentation (which you are free to reject).

You will be notified of the acceptance for a presentation or a poster shortly after deadline by e-mail.

Abstracts should be less than one page and follow the template.

The symposium is organised by Danish Technological Institute (DTI) in collaboration with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

DTI will act as the main organiser and will be responsible for the practical coordination of the symposium, including venue arrangements, registration, and event administration. In collaboration with DTI, DTU contributes to the scientific organisation of the symposium and supports the development of the technical programme.
