TES Symposium 2027<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This symposium addresses a clear and critical gap in the international research landscape. It creates a focused forum for a novel and emerging branch of the broader Thermal Energy Storage (TES) field: TES for industrial process heat in the temperature range of 100-1000+ \u00b0C<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our primary objective is to build a bridge between the distinct but interconnected disciplines of materials research<\/strong>, system integration<\/strong>, and modelling activities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symposium’s mission is to accelerate the decarbonisation of industrial heat \u2013 one of the most challenging sectors to transition from fossil fuels. We will explore how Power-to-heat systems<\/strong>, coupled with TES, provide a key pillar for achieving energy independence, enabling grid flexibility, and supporting the large-scale integration of intermittent renewable energy sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
